Strathcona County, Alta. – On July 7, 2022 at 9:02 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report of a theft from Modo Yoga Studio located on Premier Way in Sherwood Park, Alta. A female suspect entered the yoga studio during a yoga class, stole multiple wallets, keys and a vehicle from the parking lot.
The Strathcona County RCMP Property Crime Unit took carriage of the file and as a result of the investigation, completed a search warrant at a residence in Edmonton, Alta. Police located several items stolen from the yoga studio, along with additional stolen items from previous thefts in Edmonton. On Oct. 18, 2022 the Strathcona County RCMP arrested a female in relation to the offence.
Michelle Ulrich (32) a resident of Edmonton, Alta. has been charged with:
- Theft over $5000 (x2)
- Trafficking stolen Property
- Fraud Over $500
- Possession of stolen property
- Theft of vehicle over $5000
- Illegal Possession of Government Documents
- Fail to Comply
Ulrich was released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Nov. 30, 2022.
